SCHOOL [Lochmaddy] School (Lochmaddy, Boys & Girls) Mr I. McDonald 035 This school has an average attendance of 35 scholars, boys and girls, and it is supported by the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. It is not at present under the control of a School Board but is about to become so, or will be abolished as a school board is being elected in the parish, and probably a new school house will be erected instead of the existing one which is miserable hovel. The ordinary branches of English are taught.
