064 This name is applied to a small village on the West Coast of Barra it is situated about three miles to the N W [North West] of Castle Bay by the public road and about 4 miles to the S W [South West] of North Bay it is also applied to a cultivated district surrounding this village the crofts here are better than in any other portion of the Island which are leased by such class of farmers the dwellings are all thatched some of them are in fair repair.
