004 This name is applied to a prominent point of land jutting into the Moray Firth and forming the extreme north western part of the parish. There are two rows of dwelling houses on the point, which were occupied by Fishermen when there was a salmon fishing station here. It is on the Culloden Estate.

004 This is the site of a Roman Catholic Chapel, at Alterlie Point, which was dedicated to St. [Saint] Columba. The site is now overgrown with coarse grass, and can be traced, only, by the uneveness of the ground The period at which divine worship was celebrated here, is so remote, that no information can be obtained regarding the date of erection, or when it became disused. It is on the Culloden Estate.
