Lovat Bridge. On application of the General Meeting of the County of Inverness, an Act was passed in the last session of Parliament the 50 George III d. V R. c87. "for maintaining a Bridge across the River Beauly to be called The Lovat Bridge, in the County of Inverness. xxx The Lovat Bridge consists of Five Arches, the Middle Arch of 60 feet span, and Mr Burn's progress during the year 1812 has been to build the Eastern Abutment and three Piers to the Impost Course; so that there is no reason to suppose that he will not finish the whole at the time permitted by the Contract , that is, in October 1814.
