[Page] 1County of Inverness -- Parish of Kiltarlity and Convinth
[written on page] In a letter sent to the Revd. [Reverend] David Ross parish minister he states as follows "The parish is described in Shaws History of the Province of Moray as Kiltarlity and Conveth. When united not known. Conveth was a Vicarage dependent on the Priory of Beauly; Kiltarlity a Parsonage dedicated to St. Thalargus Again in the County Valuation made in conformity to the Act 1661 it is written Convinth and Kiltarlity, It appears that Kiltarlity and Convinth were district parishes having been united. The parish was called Kiltarlity and Convinth But gradually the last name was omitted. But I should recommend the full name the proper one.
Signed, David Ross
