010 This name is given to a large stone bridge of five arches ,which crosses the River Beauly 1 1/2 miles from Beauly Village on the main road to Inverness. It was built by Lord Lovats Predecessor and is kept in repair by the County.
"Lovat Bridge- On application of the General meeting of the County of Inverness, an Act was passed in the last September of Parliament the 50 George III.L.V. P.C.87 for maintaining a bridge across the River Beauly to be called, The Lovat Bridge, In the County of Inverness The Lovat Bridge consists of five arches, the middle arch of Sixty Feet span and W.Burns progress during the year 1812has been to build the eastern abutment and three piers to the I[]post course, so that there is no reason to suppose that he will not finish the whole of the time,limited by the contract,that is in October 1814.
