150 A small mound, surrounded by a moat, situated near Glen Nevis House. On the south side the ditch is scarcely visible now but on the north it is perfectly distinct. The building in the centre was of wicker work and connected with the land by a drawbridge, forming the stronghold of the then proprietors of Glen Nevis. The account of this is wholly traditionary.
