004 Shipbuilding has been carried on in the yard for the last five years & Previous to that the place now occupied by Walkers Saw Mill was a Shipbuilding yard and at a still more remote period the business was carried on where Millers Steam Yard now stands. It would appear from Tytler's History of Scotland that so far back as the middle of the 13th Century Inverness was noted for its excellent shipbuilders.
