012 | This name is applied to a spacious and very substantial building standing on an eminence called Castle Hill, directly south of and overlooking the town. It was erected in 1835 by the Northern Counties. The building comprises the Court room, Sheriff's room, and the Procurator Fiscal's room, the Fiscal Office, Jury Room, and the Conveyancing Room. The County Police Office & Keeper's room, the Witnesses Waiting room and a few toerh rooms of minor importance. |
