012 This High Church is a large plain building attached to an old square tower, said to have been built by Cromwell, capable of accommodating 1650 persons. The Church was built in 1771 and is yet in good condition.

012 The Gaelic Church, which stands in Church Street and quite close to the High Church in which Gaelic is exclusively preached, was erected 22 years subsequently to the High Church and has no pretensions in an architectural point. It is seated to accommodate 1250 persons. This Church was built to meet the increase of the Celt in the parish. The parish minister officiates in it every alternate Sunday.
