Dear Sir,
I have your favour of the
9th Inst. [Instant] regarding "the Holed Stone"
at Abriachan - I am aware
that such a stone is there, close to
an old burying ground, but I have
heard no tradition in connection with
it, and I don't think it comes under
the category of Sculptured Stones-
If I remember rightly Sir H. James
saw it when on a visit here, so that
he will be able to give a better opinion
as to whether it should be shown on
your plans than I can, indeed, if
I mistake not, it was at the showing
home some sculptured stone found
on my farm, that he issued his request
to have such marked on the O.S. maps
Yours faithfully
Robert Craig
