012 This is a spring of pure water on the bank of the River Ness about a mile south of Inverness at Ness Islands, it has been covered over with mason work and a drinking cup attached by a General officer resident in Inverness about 100 years ago hence the name The General's Well is on the property of Duncan Grant Esqr. Bught.
