91 ; 92 ; 106 ; 107 ; 108 ; Applies to a large Salt Water Loch or arm of the sea situated on the west coast of the Mainland of Inverness-Shire; it is about a mile & a half broad at the mouth and gradually narrowing as it nears the head. At one part between Kylesknoydart and Kylesmorar it is only a short distance across. It is subject to the Ebb and Flow of the tides which are very rapid and it is navigable through its entire length (which is about 12 miles) for vessels of large Tonnage. Herring fishing is prosecuted with varied success during the season It also forms the Southern Boundary between the District of Knoydart & the northern boundary of the district of North Morar.
