various The parish of Daviot and Dunlichity is in the Presbytery of Inverness, Synod of Moray. The Parish is bounded on the East & partly on the South by the Ph. [Parish] of Moy and Dalarossie; partly on the South by the parish of Boleskine and Abertarff; on the west by the parishes of Dores, part of Inverness, and Croy and Dalcross (Detached;) on the north west by part of the parishes of Inverness and Petty; and on the north east by part of the parish of Croy and Dalcross in the County of Nairn. There are no detached portions of the parish of Daviot and Dunlichity nor are there any detached portions of another parish situated within it. The parish is one whole, entire part, of which three separate portions belong to the County of Nairn and the remainder is in the county of Inverness. Two of these portions which belong to the County of Nairn are situated in the extreme north of the parish, and they are drawn with a portion of Croy and Dalcross parish in the County of Nairn; the other portion is situated in the south of the parish and it forms a detached part No. 4 of the County of Nairn.
