091 ; 092 ; 106 ; 107 ; 108 Applies to a Large Salt Water Lake, Loch or Arm of the Sea. Situated on the West Coast of the mainland of Inverness-shire, it is about a mile and a half broad at the mouth and gradually narrowing as it nears the head. At one part between "Kyles Knoydart" and "Kylesmorar" it is only a short distance across. it is subject to the Ebb and Flow of the Tides which are very Rapid also navigable through its Entire length (which is about 12 miles) for vessels of large "Tonnage" Herring Fishing during the Season is prosecuted with varied Success upon this Loch. it also forms the Southern Boundary between "Knoydart" and "north Morar"
