087 Cave Situated in a cultivated field about ½ a Mile to the North West of the Village of Lynchat it is built round the sides with dry stones and Covered on the top with large Grey flags it Extends about 12 yards under ground and is about 7 feet high by 6 wide it is said to have been Inhabited in later years by a desperate Band of Robbers. An ancient Lock was found here by the late Sir David Brewster some 40 years ago & was deposited in some museum
