025 The southern extremity of Glen Ogil is well understood to terminate at "Blackpot Bridge" (25.11 Trace 6 1/2500 work) The Noran flows through this Glen and forms a tolerably regular valley from the place where the "Trusty Burn" joins it, at Burnroot, (Sheet 18.15 6 inch) to Blackpot Bridge. The name has not been applied further north than Burnroot, which Mr. Lyon of Glenogil considers the proper bounds of the Glen, but in common usage that name is given to the whole of the Glenogil property in the hills, viz. to the head of the Noran, and the head of Trusty Burn, below the Dog Hillock The lower part of Glenogil, belonging to Mr. Lyon, is a cultivated glen with numerous farms & other habitations, all of which are comprehended in Glenogil.

025 The hill property of Glenogil belongs to Mr. R. Haig. It formerly belonged to one proprietor - Mr Lyon, but since sold & divided that belonging to Mr. Haig - including his new house, bears the same name as Mr. Lyons without the least distinction. Mr. Haigs house which is occupied as a Shooting Lodge has neat ornamental grounds and a good approach along the side of the Noran Much of the Hill of Glenogil - Mr. Haigs has been recently planted
