018 Whirrich & the names below apply to the several Ruins shewn on the Examination Trace, which are on the whole not higher, or so high sometimes, as ordinary sheeprees. The Names are well Known throughout the district from being formerly the steadings of small hill farms long since merged in one holding or tenant. As old landmarks on the hill of the Estate (Glenogil) to which they belong they are regarded by all concerned as important names which should be retained on the Ordnance Plans. Upon the authority of A McFarlane the remains of these places have been in the same state for the last 50 years.
