An extensive Bleachfield on the Brothock Water, about 3 Miles North of Arbroath. It is the Property of Mr. John Hay, Lethem Grange. These works were formerly Wauk Mills but now are exclusively used for bleaching flax yarn. Mr. Brown and others argue that the term Bleach field ought not to be applied to a work unless where Linens or other similar cloth are bleached that Bleach Works is the term applied in most cases at the present
