A Small burn rising at the western side of the parish and running in a Southerly direction to the parish boundary where it receives the supply of Cairn Well, and then taking a South easterly direction, forms the remainder of the boundary down to the sea at Carnoustie. Tradition states that this burn ran with human blood for the space of three days, following the battle of Barry |
