026 A small stream rising about 20 Chains South of "Mansworn Rig" the water of this stream is carried by means of a lade to supply Dam for the thrashing Mill on farm of Balhall thus leaving a portion of it unconnected (sheet 26. 2 trace 4) It flows in an easterly direction & with another stream bearing no name forms "Donie Burn".

026 This water issues from a spout and empties itself into an artificial basin. It is Chalybeate but not of the strongest kind.
"On a farm called Ballhall there was a Mineral Well which was in considerable repute some years ago but is now very little resorted to. It is of the Chalybeate kind and good for Stomachic complaints."
