050 [Situation] On the east side of King's Cross.
This human skeleton was found here in the course of some workmen being digging near the King's Cross about 18 years ago. The people in the locality or near it say that it was that [of] a travelling tinker who died in the neighbourhood many years ago and whose place of internment then was known. The skeleton was quite entire and in a state of good preservation.
There is a different idea suggested, as to whose remains this skeleton was, in the New Stat. Acct. [Statistical Account] - see extract in opposite page
