This camp was situated about the centre of Clatto Moor, and is, in all probability is the one referred to in "New Stat. acct. [Statistical account]" as "Roman Camp". Sir John Ogilvy pointed out the site of this Camp.

This well was in a field west of Pitempton but being visited by numbers of people the damage of the crops, the farmer caused it to be closed up.
