Lord Southesk considers "Bolshan"
to be the proper mode of spelling
the word which is absurdly written
"Beauchamp".
With regard to the Moor, he is in=
=clined to suggest that both forms
of the word might be entered on the
Map:
either
"Montreathmont or Monroman Moor"
or
"Monroman Moor"
(anciently Montreathmont Moor)
or"Montreathmont Moor"
(commonly called Monroman Moor)

If only one form of the word can be
adopted, he considers
"Montreathmont"
to be the best, the other being evidently
a contraction.
Lord Southesk has been from home,
otherwise the above notice would have
been obtained and sent sooner to Cor=
=poral Harrison.
