013 The former a small eminence, the latter a small stream, both situated near the farm house of Colmeallie, Jarvise in the Land of the Lindsays makes the following statement, "No sepulchral remains such as those which were found at "Dalbog" and Ballownie so far as we can learn, have ever been found within them (the circles at Colmeallie). In the hollow ground, however, on the east side, a circular patch of from four to six yards in breadth was accidentally discovered some years ago in the middle of a gravel hillock and found to contain a quantity of black earth to the depth of 4 feet,"
The spot where this earth was found is shewn on trace and is supposed by the farmer to have been the remains of a burial ground, though no bones were found in it.
