A large open space or square nearly in the centre of the Town upon which the following Streets abut viz Nethergate, Overgate Reform Street, Murraygate Seagate, Castle Street and Crichton Street. The Town House, the property of the Corporation, and in which the Post office is situated, lies on the South Side of this Street.
