054 | [Situation] On the south side of Blackness Road. This name is applied to a district lying off the South side of Blackness Road and is bounded on the West by Wilkie's Lane until it turns to the East opposite a timber yard, whence it proceeds in a straight line to Watson's Lane & so in a North Eastwardly direction as shown on Traces 6 & 6 to the Blackness Road following which to the West it again reaches Wilkie's Lane. The district comprises many work shops, short ranges & detached dwelling houses two & three storeys in height & there are several small drying greens & open spaces or Courts within its limits. It is a poor locality & in many parts very dirty |
