This name applies to small district lying immediately South of the Scouringburn & extends from the Blackness Road Northwards to the former place, bounded on the East by a line extended from the Eastern gate (in Blackness Road) of Urquharts nursery thence Westward by the Nursery bounds to a straight fence running Southward again to the same point as marked in pencil on Trace 2. It comprises chiefly a portion of the extensive nursery of Messrs. Urquhart & Sons, to the South West Corner of which lies a group of small cottage dwellings of one & 2 storeys in height occupied mostly by Laboring people. It is the property of Mr. Urquhart & Captn.
