The upper part of the house is at present used as a printing establishment This house is considered by many to have been connected in some way with St Clement's Church when it was extant but all agree in stating that it was for a long time the Grammar School of the burgh and after being disused a long time it was made the Town's Guard House in the time of the French revolutionary war |
