The house was originally a dwelling house which was purchased and fitted up for its present use but without much alteration. It is in connection with St. Andrew's Fre church

It is a girl's school but boys of the age of infants are allowed to attend it. This house is the property of Miss Guthrie of Taybank who gives it free for the use of the school & also gives some support besides to the school
