It is situated on the West side of Constitution Road adjoining Ward Chapel & was originally built for & used as, the "Watt Institution" but the Association becoming involved in difficulties of a pecuniary nature, it became the property of the Eastern Banking Compy. [Company] of Scotland by whom it is now let for the Sheriff's Court. Court rooms & Sheriff's clerk's offices. The Court room is large lofty & commodious & the sittings held in it are for Small debt Court Ordinary Court and Court for Debates and proofs by the Sheriff of Forfarshire |
