054 | [Situation] At the east end of Bell Street and west side of Meadowside A very plain building, with obtusely arched windows and doorways without ornament used as a place of worship by a body of the Free Church of Scotland It is situated at the Corner of Bell Street & Meadowside Road & was erected in 1854. It contains 1200 sittings all rented except a few not exceeding 30 which are given to parties unable to pay for them. The No. of Communicants is 900 and the Minister's Salary £311.0.0 per annum is derived from the Sustentation Fund of the Free Church & from Congregational funds. There are two day schools connected with the Church situated in Meadow Street & a Sunday School that meets in the Church. |
