Lochee in which about 50 Girls and 10 Boys are instructed in reading, writing, geography & the Girls also taught needle work knitting &c. This School is principally supported by an association of ladies in the neighbourhood amongst whom is the Countess of Camperdown whence the name of the school. The scholars pay slight fees amounting from 2/-s [£0.2.0] to 3/-s [£0.3.0] per quarter and the Schoolmistress' Salary is partly derived from this source.
