011 A Small hollow in the South face of Ben Reid sheltered by large Outcrop Rocks. It was pointed out as the place where the Laird of Clova Castle took shelter when he fled his pursuers during the Confusion and Smoke attendant on the Burning of his Castle, before he removed to the Hole of Weems near Braedownie, as given in the Land of the Lindsays Page 281 It is called The Laird's Chamber" & not "Stane".
