Roman Camp

The list of Antiquities, in which this camp is described
as being probably a Caledonian fort, and is
named Dunhead. Mr. Pierson, the proprietor of
the estate, read the remarks in the list of
Antiquities, and states that he always heard
it called a Roman camp, and knows nothing
about the name Dunhead. The persons
employed about the estate, who are acquainted
with the locality, have always known this
object as a Roman camp. See extract
from Forfarshire Illustrated
