045 [Situation] Close to the NE [North East] side of Mains of Carmyllie.
This was originally the Mansion house of the Estate of Carmyllie, there are no traces of it at present, but Mr George Kydd states he was present at the digging up of the old foundation, and many of the stones are now in the outbuildings of the Mains of Carmyllie also in the walls which divide the fields, some of them have heads carved on them.
