The course of the Abbey Wall, as shown on Trace by a green dotted line, was pointed out by Mr. David Miller, Writer, as the site of the wall which inclosed the Abbey grounds or precincts. It has all been removed with the exception of a small portion, about 40 feet, extending Northwards from the site of the Darn Gate. There were on this Wall two Towers, one at the N. [North] West angle now called Tower Nook but formerly called Regality Tower, the other at the Southwest angle at the present parish Church.
