A circular tower being the only remains of the ancient mansion of Largo. It is three stories high 15 feet in diameter, its walls are about six feet thick slated and in a good state of preservation. It is supposed to have been a jointure House of the Queens of Scotland_ [---] a marble slab inserted in the wall of the tower a few years ago by the late General Durham is given a copy of the charter granted to Sir Andrew Wood by James 3.
