020 | [Situation] South End of the Village. The Harbour is Situated at the West end of the Town. It is neither a Safe Nor Convenient harbour. It Can only be entered at high Water, And then not without great inconvenience to vessels. Besides the fishing boats belonging to the place the only other vessels that frequent the harbour, Are those engaged in the Coasting trade. The principal imports are Coal, And farm implements; the exports grain & potatoes. The usual harbour dues are exacted. |
