020; 027 | [Situation] In the Eastern Portion of the County of Fife. A parish in Fifeshire upon the Coast of the Frith of Fourth which bounds it on the South, and bounded on the east and north by the parish of Crail, and on the west by the parishes of Carnbee, Anstruther Easter and Anstruther Wester, The whole of the parish is well divided by hedges and Stone Walls or dykes enclosing fields, which are all under Cultivation except about 10 or 12 acres of Common belonging to the towns of Kilrenny and Cellardyke. It is in the Presbytery of St. Andrews and Synod of Fife. Patron Sir W.C. Anstruther Bart. [Baronet] There is a detached Portion belonging to this parish within Anstruther Wester Close to the village of this name. |
