026 A monument on the Demesne lands in front of Elie House. it is about 12ft square at the base about 60 feet high and about 4ft square at the top & built of smooth cut stone. there is no date or inscription on it save the Coat of Arms of the family of Lord Anstruther on one side and this at present in a broken & mutiliated state. it is said to have been erected by the above family about the period of the Union between England & Scotland & in Commemoration of that event.

A small neat stone building surmounted by a spire and erected for & used as a Free Church and seated for 450. it was built in 1844 by subscription aided by a grant, from the building fund. the minister is the Rev [Reverend] Mr Wood.

026 A small hill on the Estate of Elie its surface consists of arable and RP. [Rough Pasture] And on its summit is a Trignl. [Trigonometrical] Station called by Trig [Trigonometrical] Party Shepherds law.
