026 A small stream rising near Lathallan Mill and flowing in a South easterly direction for about 5 miles it falls into the sea at Shooters Point in its course it flows through Balneil Den. & Balcarvies Den. this part of it is called the "Den Burn" On entering the Estate of Kilconquhar it gets the name "Kilconquhar Burn" from that point where by a sluice it supplys the Mill Lead to Kilconquhar Mill and continues by this name till it flows under a Bridge on a private road at Muircambus Mill from this last point to it junction with the sea it is called"Cocklemill Burn"

026 The continuation of Kilconquhar Burn from Muircambus Mile to its junction with the Sea. it is very crooked and is from twenty to 30 links wide and about one mile long. A Corn Mill called Cockle Mill formerly stood on this part of it hence the name.
