A parish in the county of Fife, bounded on the east and North by the parish of Abbotshall, on the North and West by Auchtertool and Aberdour, on the West by Burntisland, and on the South and Southeast by the Frith of Forth.
Its greatest length is about 4 3/4 miles and breadth bout 3 1/2 miles. in general throughout it is well diversified with cultivated fields and plantations etc. Their are some antiquities in this parish, and the royal burgh of Kinghorn on the coast near its S. [South] East extremity.

A small portion of Aberdour parish is situated within this parish, but no part of Kinghorn is situated within any other parish.
