A considerable stream, on the confines of the Counties of Perth and Kinross, and immediately east of the farm house of Middle Rigg. It runs thro' [through] a ravine in a northerly direction, into Perthshire and bears this name from the junction of two small streams, south of Dow Linn, into Perthshire, where it passes by a Chapel, from which it takes its name.
