A neat and well constructed House Situated on the South Side of the Kenly Water, having suitable offices flower and Vegetable garden attached and Surrounded by a Small demesne or ornamental ground. the property and Residence of - Russell Esqr. This place had been at one time called Smiddygreen and on the opposite side of the stream near to where the Dovecote stands There was formerly a Palace, belonging to the Bishops of St. Andrews, and in which it is said David the Second once held a Parliament. The site of the Palace Cannot now be pointed out. Its name was Inchmurtach.
