The parish school is a lately erected building, suitable in size for the parish and is well aired. The attendance is on average 90, 50 girls and 40 boys. The present teacher is Mr. David Dandie. His salary is the maximum allowed by law, assisted by the school fees, and the emoluments arising from the duties of Session Clerk. He has a free house and a garden.

This Church is built on the East side of the turnpike road leading through Dura Den. As yet it is only a preaching station, services being conducted by a missionary, no Minister being set apart for the duties. The church is seated for 100 the attendance is good. Communicants about 80 in number.
