011 [situation] About 1 mile North from Pitscottie.
Dura Den is generally allowed by those in the neigbourhood to extend from Pitscottie Mill to the Bridge at Kemback Mill. It is formed by the rugged and in some places perpendicular rocks, on each side of the Ceres Burn. The scenery is wild and romantic. For the most part a turnpike road runs parallel with the river. On the West side of the Den is the Mansion house of Dura, on the east that of Blebo, the river separating the estates. There are four different sets of Mills, with dwelling houses for those employed in them in the Den. The Free Church of Kemback is also here, being built especially for the inhabitants of the Den. The entrance to a cave in the face of a perpendicular rock is seen from the road near that part of the Den called Yoolfield.
