A Cairn on the summit of a hill of the same name. It is a pile of hand stones of a conical shape about thirty links in diameter and about six feet high it was collected into its present size and position at some remote but unknown period for a boundary mark on an undefined line of boundary between the Parishes of Abdie and Newburgh, on its summit is a Trigl. [Trigonometrical] station called Black Cairn. [Note] As this cairn was constructed merely for a boundary mark I think it cannot with propriety be written as an antiquity.
