A small village in the south side of the parish of Balmerino adjoining Kilmany, on the road from Newport to Newburgh. It consists of the Parish School, a Free Church, a Farm house, several cottages and a few shops:- There is not a Public House - strictly speaking - in the village. The houses are built on feus from the estate of Naughton; and the population are chiefly linen weavers.
