[Note arrowed to the name of Revd. Mr Henderson]
ENDOWED SCHOOL. Endowed School would be an improvement and if the edifice be one erected at the time of Endowment, it would be known as an antiquity with the name in German Text. This endowment by such a man as Dr. Henderson at the peculiar times in which he lived and acted renders it an object of [Cultural] and Antiquarian interest. OMO [Ordnance Map Office]

[Note]
The school house is comparatively a new house not more than 10 or 12 years built. It should not be written Endowed School as all parish school are understood to be endowed schools besides the interest of the money referred to is only an additional emolument to the parochial endowment as an encouragement to the schoolmaster, the parochial endowment being the principal.
